Zoho have announced that they have been secretly working on developing a 4G LTE Modem. The chip was the culmination of 8 years work by 50 engineers. Sridhar Vembu the Chief Executive Officer of Zoho believes that the skills, resources and knowledge to develop this technology resides in India. Furthermore developing a 4G LTE Modem chip locally is vital for the national security of India. This now places Zoho as a competitor against companies such as Qualcomm or Iridium.
